Sukoon (سكون) is an Arabic word meaning stillness. In Arabic script, it is also a diacritical mark — a small circle placed above a letter to indicate silence: no vowel, no motion, just pause.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sukoon mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Sukoon is a free application that lets users blend nature sounds into a personal soundscape and follow guided breathing exercises (also known as Tanaffus) for relaxation, focus, and sleep. The App is provided by CS42.org ("we", "us", "our").

3. Usage Rights

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

4. Intellectual Property

All content within the App, including but not limited to audio recordings, visual designs, logos, icons, and code, is the property of CS42.org or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any App content without prior written consent.

5. User Conduct

• You shall not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• You shall not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• You shall not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or servers.
• You shall not distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Sukoon is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

7. Health & Breathing Exercises

The breathing exercises in the App are provided for general wellness and relaxation only and are not medical advice. Breath-holding and paced breathing are not suitable for everyone. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, especially if you are pregnant or have a heart, respiratory, blood-pressure, or anxiety condition. Never practise while driving, operating machinery, or in water. Stop immediately and breathe normally if you feel dizzy, light-headed, or uncomfortable. You use these exercises at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CS42.org shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the App.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or us.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

CS42.org ("we", "us", "our") built the Sukoon app as a free application. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Sukoon is designed with privacy at its core. The App:

• Does not require account creation or login.
• Does not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information.
• Does not track your location.
• Does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.
• Does not use cookies or tracking technologies.
• Makes no network connections — all sounds are bundled and playback works fully offline.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Sukoon stores your preferences and activity locally on your device using standard iOS storage, including:

• Saved sound mixes and per-track volume settings.
• Your chosen theme and last-used breathing pattern.
• Custom breathing rhythms you create.
• Breathing session history and your streak, session count, mindful minutes, and breath totals.

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. It exists only to power the app's features for you.

3. Analytics & Third-Party Services

Sukoon does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to share, sell, or transfer to anyone.

5. Children's Privacy

Sukoon does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is rated 4+ and is safe for users of all ages.

6. Apple App Store

When you download Sukoon from the App Store, Apple may collect certain information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. This data collection is governed by Apple and is outside our control.

7. Data Retention

All user preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data. We have no servers storing any user data.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our end. You can clear all App data at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
